| The Coffee
Pot Ranch raises Angus beef, Yorkshire and Hampshire hogs, and
Dorset and Hampshire sheep. We take our animals to be processed
at USDA plants in Orland and Newman Ca. This does limit some
request for specialized cuts. We pick up the meat frozen, vacuum
packed, and ready for the consumer. We do not do any processing
at the ranch. It is stored in our freezers, in the meat shop
at the ranch. |
| We have
built a loyal clientele for our USDA inspected meats that are
hormone, steroid and antibiotic-free. We pride ourselves in
using only what was born and raised on the ranch. In that way
we are certain that the product offered is what we say it is. |
|
We are
always trying to expand to supply the needs of our customers
and still be true to our values and beliefs. There will be
times when we will be out of product, whether it be production
cycles, processing or just mother nature.

We currently
have 25 mother cows, 20 sows and 30 ewes. We will be able to offer
pork and beef every month in 2009. Our lamb will be available in
the spring and fall, as we only lamb twice a year. Our beef and
lamb are always on pasture and provided grain for a short time until
harvest. Our hogs are on a quality grain nutritionally designed
for hogs. We are offering about 27 cuts of beef, 14 of pork and
8 of lamb. Special cuts are available upon request, and the order
should be made well in advance to let the processor know. We have
many customers that place preorders to guarantee that the product
they desire will be theirs!
Our products
are available direct from the ranch, Meat Buyers Club, or at one
of the many Farmers Markets in Placer County. We will also deliver
to a designated location that is convenient.
